Aivee Aguilar-Teo may be a powerhouse business magnate but her role as wife and mother are still her top priority. This certainly rubs off on her practice at the Aivee Clinic. When she consults with her patients, she is able to relate to their needs and concerns more personally.
The Aivee Clinic Story
“In my practice of fifteen years, I notice that moms tend to feel guilty about spending on themselves. But I always tell them that we’ve been through pregnancies, breastfeeding, weight gain, and stress that come with being a parent. I think we owe it to ourselves, to our husbands, and our kids to be healthy. It’s a common misconception that you need to spend a lot in order to care for yourself.” Dra. Aivee feels that most of the time, because moms look after their kids, they forget to take care of themselves. However, the later one begins doing that, the more it gets difficult and expensive. Sensitive to their customer’s possible apprehensions, a client may have prior consultation with the customer service team. They can address concerns and queries over the phone, even before clients enter the clinic.
Dra. Aivee suggests starting with a simple facial. Additionally, avail of a whole range of treatment options that can be tailor-fit to each individual. Emphasizing good skincare, the basic minimum would be a thorough facial. “We have facials wherein you can already get tightening, rejuvenation, exfoliation, lymphatic drainage, and muscle stimulation. As a result, just a facial alone helps prevent aging. Moreover, it can maintain a clean and well-hydrated face.” To stimulate collagen, even out skin tone, and minimize pores, Dra. Aivee recommends a light laser treatment at least once a month. “It makes me so happy whenever moms share that they enjoy their ‘me time’ here. They go here to feel refreshed and recovered from their daily grind. This allows them to spring back to their routines at home.”
The Aivee Café Opens
Launched in 2016, the Aivee Café provides healthy food and drink options. It has since become a popular destination for patient and non-patients alike who simply want to try clean eating. “It’s unavoidable that there is some waiting involved when here at the institute. Our patients would inevitably need to eat or have a drink. For this reason, we thought of opening a café that is in line with our promotion of overall wellness.” The menu features an eclectic selection of dishes including delectable pastas, hearty salads, and delicious sandwiches. Invigorating drinks curated by Alicia Ann Lip of Singapore complements each meal.
Introduced last year, Aivee Water changes they way water is drank. The institute doesn’t sell the water. Instead, the portable device that converts ordinary drinking water into Hydrogen Water is available for purchase. This device reduces inflammation and contains anti-oxidants. However, Dra. Aivee stresses that it’s not meant to be a cure, but a prevention tool to flush out toxins.
Understanding the difficulty some may have in preparing meals to complement procedures, particularly the weight loss treatments, they launched Dr. Food. It is a service exclusive for patients. Here, board certified nutritionists work with Aivee Café chefs to create custom food plans. These feature dishes that are both healthy and delicious. They also have Food Print. This service offers a comprehensive food intolerance test, making meal plans even more specific to each patient.
Holistic Wellness at the Aivee Institute
Both the Aivee Institute and Aivee Clinic have evolved to approach patient care in a more holistic manner. Beginning with a good consultation with their board certified dermatologists, a patient is asked about their concerns, goals, and budget. The Aivee Light is perfect for those who are fatigued or jetlagged. Likewise, the soon-to-be-launched Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber offers 100% oxygenation. The Aivee Café, Dr. Food, Aivee Water, and other treatments and services are available for moms with varied needs.
“The practice has shifted to include treatments and therapies to address, not just beautification, but the overall health of our patients. Both women and men are becoming more conscious about their health. Since there is so much more information available as well, they’re more informed and are able to make better decisions on how to take care of themselves.”
