Rico’s Lechon brings their famous lechon to BGC
A trip to Cebu is never complete without a box of lechon, but Rico’s Lechon skips the flight altogether and is bound to satisfy your spicy Cebu lechon cravings right within the heart of the metro. The new branch opens at the Fort Entertainment Complex in Bonifacio Global City.
The brick-lined exterior houses a warm atmosphere swimming in red and brown hues, with a dazzling ornate floor and a gorgeous leaf-pattern that coats the high walls. The Manila branch also boasts of a unique feature that can’t be found in Cebu—a Roasting Pit, open for public viewing so you can watch the pigs glisten the entire day.
The spacious restaurant seats up to 180 diners eager to get a taste of Filipino favorites like the classic Chopsuey, as well as warm and hearty bowls of Sinigang na Baboy at Baka, Dinuguan, and Seafood Kare-kare. Their menu also includes other favorites like Bam-I, a Cebuano classic, and Chicken Inasal. Rico’s Lechon sprinkles lechon in other menu items like their must-try Sizzling Lechon Sisig and Lechon Humba. Top it off with their fluffy fried rice trio, seasoned with danggit, tuyo, and tinapa as well as a refreshing cucumansi drink and tapioca pandan to round out your meal.
Lechon to die for
The star of the show remains the lechon. Rico’s Lechon offers it two ways—Original or Spicy. With the Original version, you get a taste of a tender classic, complete with crispy skin. It gets even better with their signature Spicy variation that gives you a slight kick, with crispy skin that somehow tastes even better with the touches of lemongrass and whole pieces of garlic that emanate throughout the entire dish. Rico’s Lechon also makes an in-house sauce called SukaLami, and greatly complements their lechon.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere matched by heartwarming meals make for a perfect family destination. Bring your family to Rico’s Lechon for a taste of home or a new experience altogether. Rico’s Lechon has been in Cebu for more than 20 years and is a true celebration of Cebuano heritage.
Rico’s Lechon’s BGC branch opens on August 3, 2018. Upcoming branches include Tiendesitas, Top of the Glo, Ayala Malls Cloverleaf, and UP Town Center. Follow Rico’s Lechon on Facebook, Instagram, or their website for updates.
